Mendini draws from the colours of the ancient tradition of Delftware in a totally personal manner: the charm of the decoration, noted the designer, “lies in generating evocative forms, drawing from the world of fables, childhood tales and the iconography of the agrarian memories of Dutch grandmothers”.
